I&E Technician
The Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E) Technician repairs and installs process control instrumentation, electrical equipment, sensors, and electronic devices.
Essential Duties:
- Install, replace, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrically powered equipment and other devices that are used to monitor and control the manufacturing process.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, blowers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform inspection and maintenance checks on control equipment.
- Maintain an organized work area to ensure tools, parts, and materials are stored in a neat and orderly manner to improve efficiency.
- Maintain required documentation and records.
Qualifications:
- An associate degree in industrial electronics or a related field is strongly preferred for this position. Experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- For degreed candidates, a minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred; new graduates who have completed an internship may be considered.
- For non-degreed candidates, a minimum of five years of experience as an I&E technician in a chemical plant or refinery are required. Experience in the Armed Forces in an equivalent role may count toward this experience requirement.
- The ability to use or quickly learn SAP is a plus.
