Operates and maintains boilers, turbine, generator, and auxiliary equipment used to produce steam  and electricity, in a safe and effective manner.   Operates and maintains Air Quality Control System (AQCS) equipment used to reduce NOx and SOx plant emissions. Ensures AQCS is operated in a safe, effective manner while ensuring that plant emissions meet all permitted requirements. Initiates and supports efforts  to  continually  improve unit  operations, equipment  and maintenance through leadership and participation with appropriate teams.   Assists in training new personnel in operating procedures.  Works in cooperation with the  Furnace  Process  Operations Team and Thermal Process Operations Team to coordinate the operation of the four process units in the  Borger  Plant (Thermal  Plant,  Furnace  Plant,  Co-Generation Plant, and Air Quality Control System).   Prepares and maintains production  reports, data and records as required or directed.
