IT Director, Americas

 

The IT Director Americas manages the information technology function for the US and Brazil.  He or she also acts as the IT Business Partner for Finance and in this capacity manages the global relationship with the business function and ensures vital bi-directional communication and exchange. This role further acts as a liaison between the business and IT, enabling the coordination of demand and supply for IT products and services.

 

Essential Duties:
•    Develop strong business relationships between IT and business stakeholders across the Americas region.
•    Provide IT support and advisory to meet the Finance function’s business needs.  
•    Ensure successful delivery of all IT/OT related aspects for new and existing production facilities.
•    Advise regional business on globally consistent requirements for infrastructure, operational technology and applications by connecting with global IT Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) while addressing local business needs.
•    Protect and enforce global IT standards; leverage and deliver harmonization and further consolidation of IT environment, while maintaining the standard operating environment.
•    Maintain and measure high level of IT customer satisfaction and service quality; establish, monitor, and comply with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ITIL processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 
•    Promote Cyber Security across the Americas by staying abreast of current events, trends, and technology. 
•    Leverage agile methods and support delivery of regional and functional project portfolio in coordination with IT Business Partners and CoEs. Execute assigned projects by adhering to set scope, timing and budget. 
•    Ensure IT products and solutions meet customer experience, business and IT requirements. Support and coordinate testing, user training and two-way feedback collection.


Qualifications:

•    A bachelor’s degree is required for this position. A focus in information technology or computer science is strongly preferred; degrees in other disciplines will be considered in combination with experience as outlined in the next bullet point.   
•    At least ten (10) years of relevant, hands-on, experience in a global heterogeneous IT environment is required; some of this experience may have been acquired in positions such as IT Analyst, IT Specialist, Manager of IT, Director of IT, IT Architect, Business Analyst, or similar role(s).  
•    At least five (5) years of leadership experience with regional responsibility is required; most of this experience should include managing exempt IT professional workers.   
•    Experience working with a hybrid team consisting of internal technology experts and external partners is a strong plus.  
•    Experience in working within a geographically distributed matrix organization of a global manufacturing enterprise is helpful.  
•    Excellent oral and written English language proficiency is essential for success in this role; Portuguese language proficiency is a significant plus.   
•    A strong customer service orientation and strong relationship building skills are crucial for success in this role.   
•    An ITIL certification is required
•    Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum) and traditional project delivery (Prince2 or PMI) methods is desired.
