ACCOUNTANT
The Accountant plays a key role in the preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and auditing of a variety of financial statements. He or she ensures that activities required for compliance and reporting are performed accurately and on a timely basis. A key focus of this position to ensuring that management has a clear picture of the financial performance of the company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage treasury and banking activities, including cash management, reporting, and credit facility utilization.
- Manage the day-to-day customer credit control function and the regional billing, accounts payable, and cash application.
- Prepare entries, perform month-end closing processes and financial analysis, reconcile intercompany accounts, research historical balances, and performing ad hoc analyses.
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are accurately stated in accordance with US GAAP and Company policy.
- Create and maintain leases in SAP RE-FX, make monthly payments, review all assets and liabilities, and make the necessary adjustments if needed.
- Working work external auditors (Ernest & Young) quarterly to provide all the supporting documents.
- Performing SOX control documentation, implementation, and internal controls.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required for this position; an advanced degree in a relevant discipline and/or CPA license is a strong plus.
- At least five years of generalist accounting experience at a Fortune 500 company are necessary; some of this experience may have been acquired in positions such as accountant, cost accountant, tax analyst, financial analyst, auditor, or similar role.
- Knowledge of US GAAP that apply to primary duties of the position.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing using terminology and content at a level that is appropriate for the recipients.
- Advanced technology skills, including proficiency in Excel and SAP are expected.
