Mechanical Integrity Lead US
The Mechanical Integrity Lead will execute, establish, and improve mechanical integrity work processes for fixed equipment (pressure vessels, tanks, relief devices or piping) in our US manufacturing plants. He/she will also coordinate and follow the plans through at each site.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thickness inspection and corrosion analyses.
- Develop and optimize inspection plans.
- Review results and determine short term repair plans.
- Perform integrity and engineering assessment/assurance activities such as FFS, Rerates, Temporary Repair, Brittle Fracture, Flexibility Analysis, Piping Stress Analysis, Corrosion Evaluations and Remaining Life Studies, etc.
- Conduct pressure equipment degradation evaluations (e.g. vessels, piping, tanks, and/or pressure relief devices)
- Coordinate work delivery and communication between service providers and business affiliates.
- Ensure maintenance and inspections activities comply with the current legislation and norms.
- Use reliability concepts/ tools to perform reliability assessment of plant assets and develop action plans to increase reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Travel: approximately 60-70% domestic travel.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred; however, relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industries in the domain of fixed equipment:
- In-service inspection & corrosion discipline with direct owner user company
- Design, rerate, and alteration of pressure vessel, piping, and tanks
- Current API 510 certification
- Preferred certifications in AWS-CWI, API 620, and API 653
- Experience developing repair plan for fixed/static equipment (vessels, tanks, and piping) in operating unit
- Experience performing inspection data analysis for corrosion rates, API 653 remaining life assessment and risk-based inspection plan development
- Experience with inspection techniques such as non-destructive testing, visual, ultrasound, and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment in sound decision making.
- Highly effective organizational skills, strong communications skills (verbal and written), and the ability to work with a range of personnel effectively (operators, engineers, plant leadership).
- Ability to learn and adapt to an agile and flexible working environment, continuously stay abreast of latest developments in industry standards/ practices, bring in learnings/ experience to challenge and improve company work processes/ practices
- Working knowledge of SAP
- English language proficiency.
